Applications of Soft and Nonlinear Materials in Electronics and Optics

The main highlight of this symposium is to focus on topics on the science, engineering, research and design of nonlinear and soft mateirals and their application sin optics and electronics.

Fundamentals and science of condense matters, soft and nonlinear materials (including theories and models): liquids, colloids, polymers, foams, gels, granular materials, liquid crystals, electro-optical materials, organic nonlinear materials, lithium based materials (niobate, iodate etc), first principles materials.

Application of soft materials: optofluidic systems, fluid in nonlinear material and lap-on-chip, packaging, liquid crystal in electronics and optics, display devices and nanotechnology

Application of soft materials in bioscience: Wearable electronics and optics, cosmetics, biological materials, additives, sensors and transducers, biomass and energy.

Applications nonlinear materials in optics: elastics and nonelastic media, Optical Kerr effect, Self-focusing, Kerr-lens, modelocking, Self-phase modulation (SPM), Optical Solitons, Cross-phase modulation (XPM),Four –wave mxing (FWM), can also arise from other nonlinearities. Cross-polarized wave generation (XPW), Raman amplification, Optical phase conjugation, Stimulated Brillouin Scattering, Multi-photon absorption, Multiple photonization, Chaos in optical system.

Applications of nonlinear materials: elastic and nonelastic materials, deformation and thermal areas, hype elastic materials, robotics and nanobots.

Other multiphysical phenomena: Polymer materials, biomaterials, biofuels and biomasses, Liquid crystal technology.
